5/18/2022: We continued our journey north with another early start. We were blessed with another beautiful travel day. We went through Memphis at 8:30am and was expecting to face some rush hour traffic but traffic moved right along and we had no delays.
The stretch across Arkansas, and in southern Missouri, was beautiful with rolling hills and lots of trees. The travel day was a little longer, 430+ miles, but we still arrived at our destination at a decent time.
We are spending the night at the Elks Lodge in Springfield MO. Most of the Elk Lodges have electric hookup for a few travelers and works perfect as an over-night option. We also arrived early enough to enjoy a cocktail at the lodge before heading out for dinner and a quick stop at the Bass Pro flagship store, really cool place.
Tomorrow we will be heading to Des Moines and spend 2 nights before final push to Sioux Falls SD.
