We headed to Philly for the day on a beautiful Saturday morning. We originally planned on riding the bike but it was a chilly 52 degrees so we decided to drive the truck. It was little interesting parking the truck in the Bourse garage but we survived.
It was humbling to visit the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall (where the Declaration of Independence was signed), grave site of Ben Franklin (and many other founders or our country), home of Betsy Ross, and the many statues of those who were instrumental in the formation of our country. We are the benefactors of those who went before us and are truly blessed.
We went on a double decker bus tour of the city. This was a enjoyable way to see the highlights without having to navigate the city and deal with parking. It was a perfect day to sit on the top deck and see the sites. We were blessed with a very good tour guide that made the experience very enjoyable.
We finished our stay with a visit to Yards Brewery for beer and lunch. Perfect end to our visit.
