Kentucky is about horses and bourbon, so when in Kentucky................ Let's just say we did what we HAD to do!
During our stay we toured, tasted, or stopped at 14 distilleries and I won't mention how many liquor stores I stopped at to check things out and how much I added to my whiskey inventory :) I will say that I did manage to find some great deals that actually made it difficult to decide what was going to be added to my inventory and did my part to support the local economy.

This is the 3rd time we have taken in some of the Bourbon Trail and it has been the most comprehensive visit. During previous visits we have taken in 2 to 4 distilleries. We really knocked it out of the park this time. As mentioned previously, the biggest disappointment is how the costs of a tour have increased and how difficult it was to actually secure a tour reservation. This will likely be the last time we take such a complete tour of the distilleries. Future visits will likely be limited to just a few of our very favorites.
