We arrived in the Park early but unfortunately we had problems with out black tank and I had to run into Jackson to get some parts. The Tetons were majestic. Sun lighting up the mountain peaks and bright fluffy clouds. I didn't bring the camera and was really preoccupied with resolving our issue. I wasn't too worried, after all I had 2 days to capture the majestic Tetons on my camera. Or so I thought. I woke up the next day, grabbed my camera and headed out. Unfortunately smoke was in the air. The day started with the mountain peaks obscured with the smoke and by the end of the day you couldn't even tell there were mountains there. The west wind brought in the smoke from the forest fires in California. How disappointing! Not only was I planning on taking pictures but I had a couple of scenic rides planned. GUESS NOT!!!
This picture was taken mid-day. By later afternoon you couldn't see any evidence of a mountain range.
